1. In what language is UTA China Executive MBA given?

UTA China Part-Time Executive MBA programme is a bilingual program. There are two tracks:

Chinese track: Classes are mainly given in Chinese, and you may take parallel English language classes. The intake for Chinese track is May 2009 and the first course of Chinese track is given in June 2009.

English track: Classes are ALL given in English, and you may take parallel Chinese language classes. The intake for English track is September 2009 and the first course of English track is given in October 2009.

Note: if you have extensive knowledge/experience in both the English and Chinese languages, you may opt to take English language courses during the programme.

2. How long does UTA’s Part-Time Executive MBA programme last?

The UTA China Part-Time Executive MBA is about 15 calendar months. In Beijing, classes will run from October 2009 to December 2010. In Shenzhen, classes will run from July 2009 to November 2010.

3. What are the requirements for admission?

• All participants must hold a Bachelors degree.

• All participants must have at least five years full-time work experience (two of the five years in responsible management positions) by the beginning of the programme.

• All participants must take the UTA entrance test (native speaker of English exempted):

- Chinese track: You must take UTA entrance test B.

- English track: You must UTA entrance test A (native speaker of English exempted).

4. How does the application process work?

You must submit UTA’s application and the paperwork indicated in the same. We recommend students to apply before the 31st of May, but as we operate on rolling admission, we will accept applications until the class is full. Once complete, your application will be evaluated by our Admissions Committee and you may be asked to attend an entrance interview and exam. UTA will notify you of the decision taken on your application within approximately a month from the time your application is complete and all supporting paperwork has been received. This decision will always be notified by email.

In order to sign up for the test, you must submit an application form and pay the application fee at least one week before the date you wish to take the test. When you are filling out the form, you will be asked the date you wish to take the admission test; by filling out this form and paying the application fee, you will have signed up to take the test on this date.

5. What factors does the Admission Committee take into account when making its decision?

All aspects of your application are of interest. The Admission Committee looks at your academic performance, professional experience, test scores, essays and recommendations in reaching its decision.

6. How much does UTA China Part-Time Executive MBA programme cost and what are the instalments?

The tuition of 18-month programme is RMB200,000 yuan and is divided into the following payment process:

RMB100,000 to be paid prior to the beginning of the program. The balance 100,000 to be paid prior to the beginning of your fifth course of the program.

7. Can I transfer to other locations of UTA Executive MBA programs?

UTA’s Executive MBA programs are offered in Arlington, Texas, Taipei, Taiwan and three Chinese cities namely Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Only in Arlington, Taipei and Beijing there are purely English instructions. If you are in mainland China and you need pure English instruction, you need to apply the Beijing program. Some of the courses in other locations are also offered in English. If you need to take some courses in other locations, the Beijing Program Office will help you to arrange the transfer.
